Student Nights in Seville: University Thursday and Where Students Go Out

In Seville, Spain the university night is Thursday: Abril, OCCO, Uthopia and Groucho all run a student Thursday, as do most of the clubs around the Viapol buildings in Nervión, with entry usually free early or around €10 with a drink, according to their October 2026 listings.
Seville has two big public universities, the Universidad de Sevilla (US) and the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO), plus thousands of exchange students, and the club calendar is built around them. Thursday is the night most clubs dedicate to students, with its own names, prices and sometimes its own Instagram account, and a couple of clubs add a cheaper Wednesday. The big University Thursdays: Abril, OCCO and Uthopia
Abril, on Calle Luis Montoto 118, calls its Thursday Mamoneo and opens from 00:00 to 06:00; the one on 22 October 2026 is its fourth edition. For University Halloween on Thursday 29 October it released 200 free tickets for entry before 01:00, now sold out, and after that charges €10 with a drink, 18+ and with a dress-up-a-bit code. OCCO, on Avenida de Montes Sierra, has a separate university account that announces Thursdays and Fridays, 18+. Its University Halloween on the 29th starts at 23:00 at €10 with a drink, with a free list until 01:00, according to Discoruta. Uthopia, in the Plaza de Armas shopping centre, runs Uniparty on Thursdays from 00:00 to 07:30 across its three floors.
Viapol: the student club cluster in Nervión
The densest student area is around the Viapol buildings in Nervión, where half a dozen university clubs sit within a few streets. In the Edificio Viapol, Voulezbar (Calle Balbino Marrón), a classic that opens from Tuesday to Saturday, runs Campus Voulezbar on Thursdays and stays open until 06:00 on Wednesdays, and Granuja Club&Sound is on Calle Enramadilla. Bakú, in the Viapol Center shopping centre, does Vibes on Thursdays from 23:00 to 06:00. Kaótica Club, also in Viapol, opens Thursday to Saturday. Maffia The Club, at Calle Balbino Marrón 8, has its Malavita Thursday, and Bottom Club, at Avenida San Francisco Javier 24, its FOMO Thursday.
Wednesdays and the centre: Vizzio, Groucho and Gran Vía
Vizzio Club, at Calle Pirotecnia 1, has made Wednesday its own with Miércoles de Relio from 23:00: Discoruta lists it from €2 (its range runs from €2 to €18), and Vizzio's Instagram announced free beer and wine from 23:00 when Wednesdays came back this season. It's 18+ with ID, and on Thursdays it switches to Jueves de Pelucheo. In El Arenal, Groucho, on Calle Federico Sánchez Bedoya 20 and in its nineteenth season, opens La Casita de Groucho, its university Thursday, on 22 October from 23:30 to 06:00, and has University Halloween on the 29th. Across the river, Gran Vía, at Avenida Blas Infante 6, calls its Thursday LeClub and has a special night for student residences on 22 October.
Where young people go out: the areas
Before the club there's the bar. In student reviews of life in Seville, the areas that come up again and again are the Alameda de Hércules (bars, live music and the most alternative crowd), the Alfalfa in the old town, Nervión (where the Viapol clubs are) and Calle Betis in Triana, by the river. The 2026-27 calendar: when Thursdays are busy and when they aren't
The university calendar sets the rhythm. At the Universidad de Sevilla, the first semester runs from 7 September to 18 December 2026, first-semester exams from 8 to 25 January 2027 and the second semester from 26 January to 24 May 2027. Christmas (19 December to 6 January), Holy Week (21 to 28 March 2027) and the Feria (12 to 18 April 2027) are non-teaching weeks. At Pablo de Olavide, classes started on 14 September 2026, first-semester exams run from 1 to 12 February 2027 and the Feria break is 12 to 16 April. If you're going out in those weeks, check that your club's Thursday is on before you go.
Age, ID and student associations
Almost every university night is 18+. The Andalusian rule (Decree 155/2018, catalogue item III.2.8.a) bars under-16s from clubs and lets each venue raise the limit to 18, which is what OCCO, Abril and Vizzio do. Bring your DNI or passport: Vizzio says so explicitly, and the door can ask anywhere.
