Where to Go Out in Seville: the Alameda, the Centre, Nervión, the Cartuja and the River

· Updated:

Seville (Sevilla), Andalusia, Spain has no single party district: bars and LGBTQ+ clubs are in the Alameda de Hércules, the big clubs in Plaza de Armas and on Isla de la Cartuja, the student clubs in Nervión, and the terraces along the river in the Delicias. Here is what each area is like and which clubs it has.

Centre: Encarnación, Plaza Nueva and around

Right under Las Setas in Plaza de la Encarnación, KOKO opens every night of the year from 23:00, with everything from reggaeton to electronic. A few minutes away, O'Clock on Méndez Núñez, by Plaza Nueva, has been running since 2012 behind a facade with a giant clock, and La Piconera on Calle Julio César does flamenco and rumba nights from Thursday to Sunday, including Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions.

Arenal and Plaza de Armas

Uthopia fills the old Córdoba railway station in the Plaza de Armas shopping centre: three floors, about 1,500 m², and nights from Wednesday (urban music) to Saturday, with Thursday as its university night. Lobby Club on Calle Reyes Católicos is smaller, opens Fridays and Saturdays from 23:00 to 06:00, and is free until it fills up if the door lets you in; trainers and sportswear are out. Groucho, on Federico Sánchez Bedoya, is in its nineteenth season and stays open until 07:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Alameda de Hércules: bars, live music and LGBTQ+ nights

The Alameda is the long boulevard north of the centre and the heart of Seville's LGBTQ+ scene. On Calle Amor de Dios you have Monasterio, an 18th-century palace house turned club (Thursday to Sunday), and Itaca, the LGBTQ+ club that opens every night from 23:00 with drag shows on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Holiday by Obbio, on Jesús del Gran Poder, plays pop and 80s and 90s remixes with themed and drag nights. On the boulevard itself, Fun Club has been a gig venue since 1987 and becomes a club when there is no concert, and Alameda 47 is a rooftop bar and club with live karaoke. At the Torneo end, Malandar hosts concerts and, since its return, Kafka Club nights. If what you want is to meet people, this is the area with the most bars per street.

Nervión and Viapol: the student Thursday

Nervión is where most university nights happen. Around the Viapol building, between Calle Balbino Marrón and Enramadilla, you have Voulezbar (Tuesday to Saturday), Granuja, Maffia The Club and Kaótica, and Bakú inside the Viapol Center. Vizzio Club, on Calle Pirotecnia, opens Wednesday to Saturday, and Bottom Club is on Avenida San Francisco Javier. A little further out, Discoteca Abril on Luis Montoto opens Thursday to Sunday, Cosmos Club on Carlos de Cepeda is the area's electronic club, and Long Rock on Blanco White does rock with live bands.

Isla de la Cartuja and the Delicias riverside

Across the river, Antique Theatro occupies the former Expo 92 Olympic pavilion on Isla de la Cartuja and opens Thursday to Sunday all winter; its summer terrace, Rosso, closed around 11 October 2026. South of the centre, along Paseo de las Delicias by Parque de María Luisa, the summer terraces are shut until next season, but Alfonso by Casino runs a winter programme on Fridays and Saturdays from 20:00, and riverside bars such as Muelle New York, Terraza Chile and Iguana open all year.

Alfalfa, Triana and Calle Betis

Student reviews put the Alfalfa, in the old town, and Calle Betis, on the Triana side of the river, among the usual places to start the night with drinks, and English-language travel guides describe Betis as busy until about 03:00. Neither area has one of the clubs in our guide, so from there people usually move on to the centre or the Alameda. In July, during the Velá de Santa Ana, the casetas on Betis and nearby bars stayed open until 04:00 in 2026.

The outskirts and the metropolitan area

Some of the biggest nights are outside the centre and need a taxi. OCCO is on Avenida de Montes Sierra; Pandora, the club with the most Instagram followers in Seville, is on Calle Gramil in Polígono Store; and the Latin clubs El Sabrosón and Sala Havana are in Polígono Calonge, with Amazonas on Calle Sociología. Gran Vía is on Avenida Blas Infante. Further out, Elysium is in Alcalá de Guadaíra, and Mala Uva and B3 are in Dos Hermanas.
