Seville Party Calendar 2026-27: Christmas, Easter, April Fair and Summer

In Seville (Sevilla), Andalusia, Spain, the nights that change between November 2026 and October 2027 are the public holidays and the nights before them, Christmas, Holy Week (21 to 28 March 2027), the April Fair (expected around 12 to 18 April, pending the city's announcement), the May Crosses, Pride, the Velá in July and the start of the university year.
Why does a holiday matter for going out? Because of Andalusia's opening-hours rule, Decree 155/2018 (BOJA no. 150, 3 August 2018). Article 17.2 gives every venue one extra hour on Fridays, Saturdays and the night before a public holiday, so clubs can stay open until 07:00 instead of 06:00 and music bars until 04:00 instead of 03:00. Article 23 lets the city council extend hours by up to two more at Christmas (22 December to 6 January), in Holy Week and during local fiestas, for at most 20 days a year. This calendar only gives dates that have been published; what isn't confirmed is marked as pending.

Public holidays 2026 and 2027
Andalusia's 2026 holidays are set by Decree 101/2025 (BOJA no. 93, 19 May 2025). What's left of the year: Monday 2 November (All Saints' Day, moved from Sunday the 1st), Monday 7 December (Constitution Day, moved from Sunday the 6th), Tuesday 8 December and Friday 25 December. For 2027, Decree 84/2026 (BOJA no. 84, 5 May 2026) sets 12 regional holidays: 1 January (Friday), 6 January (Wednesday), 1 March (Monday, Andalusia Day moved from Sunday 28 February), 25 and 26 March (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday), 1 May (Saturday), 16 August (Monday, the Assumption moved from Sunday the 15th), 12 October (Tuesday), 1 November (Monday), 6 December (Monday), 8 December (Wednesday) and 25 December (Saturday). Seville's two local holidays for 2027, proposed by the city in June 2026, are Wednesday 14 April (the Feria Wednesday) and Thursday 27 May (Corpus Christi); as of October we hadn't found their final publication.
Christmas and New Year's Eve
Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve 2026 both fall on a Thursday, and both are the night before a holiday, so clubs can stay open until 07:00 under article 17.2. On top of that, article 23 allows the council to add up to two hours between 22 December and 6 January; as of 21 October 2026 Seville hadn't published its resolution for this Christmas. University classes stop on 19 December at the Universidad de Sevilla. And for New Year's Eve, no club in Seville had tickets on sale yet as of 21 October; we'll add them as they come out.
Holy Week 2027: 21 to 28 March
Holy Week 2027 runs from Palm Sunday, 21 March, to Easter Sunday, 28 March. It's a non-teaching week at the Universidad de Sevilla, and Maundy Thursday (25 March) and Good Friday (26 March) are public holidays in Andalusia. The Madrugá is the night from Thursday 25 to Friday 26. Holy Week is also one of the periods in which the council may extend opening hours (article 23 of Decree 155/2018); the 2027 brotherhood timetables and any extension hadn't been published yet.
The April Fair 2027: what's known and what's pending
The council hasn't announced the dates of the 2027 Feria yet. What we have: the Universidad de Sevilla gives the week of 12 to 18 April 2027 off for the Feria and Pablo de Olavide 12 to 16 April; the council has proposed Wednesday 14 April as a local holiday; and travel sites give 13 to 18 April. In 2026 the format was the pescaíto dinner on Monday 20 April and the lighting of the fairground at midnight going into Tuesday 21, according to Europa Press. If 2027 follows that format, the pescaíto would be on Monday 12 April, but that's our reading of the pattern, not an announced date. We'll update this as soon as the bando is out.
May to July: Crosses, terraces, Pride and the Velá
May brings the Cruces de Mayo, the crosses that brotherhoods and neighbourhoods put up in the streets; no dates are out for 2027, and the 2026 sources didn't even agree with each other. It's also the month the summer club terraces reopen: in 2026 Líbano opened on 14–15 May, Alfonso by Casino on the 15th, Bilindo, Rosso and La Casa del Estanque on the 22nd and the OCCO pool on the 30th. Pride in 2026 ran from 28 May to the end of June, with events on the Alameda de Hércules from 25 to 28 June and the Orgullo del Sur march on 27 June; 2027 hasn't been announced. In July, the Velá de Santiago y Santa Ana fills Triana: in 2026 it ran from 21 to 26 July, and according to Sevilla Secreta the casetas on Calle Betis and nearby bars could stay open until 04:00 under the council's guidelines. No 2027 dates yet.
August to October: holidays, closings and the new season
Monday 16 August 2027 is a holiday (the Assumption moved from Sunday), and August has no classes at the Universidad de Sevilla. In September the summer terraces start closing (in 2026, between 24 September and Rosso's last night around 11 October) and the new term begins; the 2027-28 dates aren't published yet (in 2026 the US started on 7 September and the UPO on 14 September). In early October the winter clubs open their season: in 2026 OCCO did so on 3 October and Antique Theatro on 16 October. Tuesday 12 October 2027 is a holiday, so Monday 11 is the night before one.

When is the 2027 April Fair?
The city council hadn't published it as of 21 October 2026. The Universidad de Sevilla has the week of 12 to 18 April 2027 off for the Feria, the council has proposed Wednesday 14 April as a local holiday, and travel sites give 13 to 18 April. Treat those dates as expected until the city publishes its announcement (the bando).
When is Holy Week 2027?
From Palm Sunday, 21 March, to Easter Sunday, 28 March 2027. Maundy Thursday (25 March) and Good Friday (26 March) are public holidays in Andalusia, and the Madrugá is the night from Thursday 25 to Friday 26.
When are the May Crosses?
In May. No dates had been announced for 2027 as of October 2026, and even the 2026 sources didn't agree on the exact days, so check closer to the time.
When is the Velá in Triana?
In 2026 the Velá de Santiago y Santa Ana ran from 21 to 26 July. The 2027 dates haven't been published yet.
Which days are public holidays?
In Andalusia: 2 November, 7 and 8 December and 25 December 2026; then 1 and 6 January, 1 March, 25 and 26 March, 1 May, 16 August, 12 October, 1 November, 6 and 8 December and 25 December 2027. Seville has also proposed 14 April and 27 May 2027 as local holidays, pending approval.
