O'Clock Seville: the Club With the Giant Clock Next to Plaza Nueva

· Updated:

O'Clock is a bar and club in the centre of Seville, Spain, at Calle Méndez Núñez 17, next to Plaza Nueva. It has been open since 2012, you'll recognise it by the big clock on its front, and it works as a drinks bar that turns into a dance floor with DJs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The place: a clock, a bar and a dance floor

Sevilla Secreta described it in 2023 as open since 2012 and easy to spot thanks to the giant clock on its façade, and the whole brand plays with time: its posts talk about letting the hours fly while you dance. On Instagram O'Clock calls itself a bar and talks about drinks, DJ sessions and 'our dance floor'. That is the format: it isn't a giant club with several rooms, it's a central spot where you start with a drink and end up dancing.

When it opens: the season and the week

O'Clock also runs by seasons. The 2026-27 one started on Friday 25 September 2026, with doors from 22:00 and a free drink for people who came through a promoter. Its account goes quiet from mid-May to September, which matches a summer break. During the season the usual nights are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on special weeks it stretches: in 2026 it announced it was open for the whole of Holy Week, and it posted during the April Fair too. Being central, it's an easy plan after dinner in the Arenal or around the cathedral.

Music and atmosphere

O'Clock doesn't publish a style list. What it posts is DJ sessions, a busy floor and party music for groups of friends, which in a central Seville bar usually means commercial hits and Spanish pop rather than techno. If you care about the exact music on a given night, ask us before going and we'll tell you what we know.

Age and the door

O'Clock doesn't publish an age limit or a dress code on its profile. In Andalusia the legal floor for music bars and clubs is 16 and each venue can raise it to 18, so take your ID and dress for a night in the centre rather than for the gym. Promoter lists and free-drink invitations are common at the start of the season, and we can tell you whether there's one that week.

Getting there

Méndez Núñez runs off Plaza Nueva, so you can walk from almost anywhere in the old town. To get home late on a Friday or Saturday, TUSSAM night buses leave from Prado de San Sebastián until 05:00, and the metro runs until 02:00. Full directions are on the venue page.

A typical night

A night at O'Clock usually starts after dinner. Doors open at 22:00, earlier than most clubs in Seville, which open at 23:00 or midnight, so it works as a first stop: a drink at the bar while the music is still low, and a fuller floor as the night goes on. Being a couple of minutes from Plaza Nueva, it's an easy place to meet friends and either stay until closing or move on to other venues in the centre. Because it's half bar and half club, it suits mixed groups, with people who want to dance and people who'd rather talk over a drink.

On closing time, the rule in Andalusia is that music bars can stay open until 03:00 and clubs until 06:00, with one more hour on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a holiday. O'Clock doesn't publish its closing time, so if you need to know it for a particular night, ask us.
