· Updated:
Sala Newman is a club with live music in Seville, Spain, at Avenida de Finlandia 1 in Los Bermejales. Every Friday and Saturday at 23:30 a cover band plays Spanish and international pop and rock from the 80s to the 2000s, with free entry, and then the DJ takes over; on Thursdays it runs 'Superjueves' with drinks at €6.

Newman's bio is plain: 'a club with live music and events'. It's a neighbourhood venue in Los Bermejales, in the south of the city, rather than a downtown nightclub, and it gets people who want to sing along to songs they know. FiestasHoy files it under classic hits and adult commercial music, and the programme confirms it: the bands play 80s, 90s and 2000s pop in Spanish and English.

The weekend concerts
The 2026-27 concert season opened on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September 2026 with Lady Pink and Petazetas, and since then there has been a band every Friday and Saturday at 23:30. In October the line-up included Antoñita Porfapop, Proyecto Vinilo, Tercera Planta, Fraggle Pop and La Panda Canalla, all cover bands of 80s-to-2000s pop and rock. Entry to these concerts is free, which is unusual for live music in Seville. In spring it also does the odd Saturday-afternoon gig, like one at 18:30 in May 2026.
Thursdays and big screenings
On 9 September 2026 Newman reopened its 'Superjueves', Thursday nights with drinks at €6. The sala also opens for big matches: in June 2026 it screened Spain's World Cup game against Uruguay with a DJ. It's a place where the plan is often decided at the last minute with the usual group.
Groups and Christmas parties
The other half of Newman is events. For Christmas 2026 it offers lunches for groups and companies with catering and a party with a concert and DJ for €39 per person, all in the same room. If you're organising a work party or a birthday, it's one of the few venues in Seville that sells food, live music and dancing as one package.
Who goes, age and dress
The music sets the crowd: FiestasHoy calls it adult commercial music, and the songs on stage suit people who grew up with them: groups of friends and work colleagues. Newman doesn't publish an age limit or a dress code. In Andalusia clubs can't admit under-16s and each venue can raise the limit to 18, so bring your ID and dress as you would for a night out.
A typical weekend night
Concerts start at 23:30, so the usual plan is dinner first and arriving around half past eleven. The band plays for a while and then the DJ keeps the floor going with the same kind of music, so the night has one mood from start to finish: songs from the 80s to the 2000s that everyone knows. With free entry on concert nights, the cost of the evening is the drinks, and on Thursdays they're €6 with the Superjueves offer. Los Bermejales is outside the old town, so most people come by car or taxi; on Friday and Saturday nights TUSSAM night buses also run from Prado de San Sebastián until 05:00.
