Malandar Seville: Concerts, Kafka Club and DJ Nights on Calle Torneo

Sala Malandar is a concert venue for about 400 standing people at Calle Torneo 43, in Seville, Spain, that becomes a club late at night. It's now also home to Kafka Club, a Seville party brand dating back to 2006, so the same room hosts gigs, DJ nights and electronic parties.

Malandar and Kafka: are they the same?

Not exactly, and it's the most common question. Malandar is the venue, on Calle Torneo 43. Kafka Club is a party brand: its account says 'since 2006' and it recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. In late 2024 Kafka announced 'our last dance' for 2, 3 and 4 January 2025 at its old home, and now it's back inside Malandar. Malandar's Instagram puts it like this: 'Malandar + Kafka = the union of the Other Seville', a nod to the city's alternative scene. So: you go to Malandar, and some nights the party there is Kafka.

Concerts first, club later

The website organises the programme into three blocks: concerts, 'Música Club' and Kafka Club. Ticket sites describe a room for about 400 people standing, a size that works for touring bands and for a packed DJ night. The Kafka parties have their own names: in autumn 2026 the list included 'Gameboyz' on 24 October and 'MK2 – Kiwitek23' on 6 November, along with recurring formats such as 'Relio Club' and 'Origen Remember Clubbing'. For Halloween, Saturday 31 October, 'Kafka Halloween Club' was 21+, from €11.10.

Age and what to expect

Age depends on the event, and some Kafka nights go up to 21+, as at Halloween 2026. Under-16s can't enter clubs in Andalusia and most venues ask for 18, so bring ID. This isn't a dressy club: the crowd comes for the band or the DJ, and comfortable clothes are the norm. Club nights end within the Andalusian limit: 06:00 on weeknights and 07:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before a holiday. If a concert and a club night fall on the same day, check whether one ticket covers both before you buy.

The area

Calle Torneo runs along the river on the edge of the old town, and Malandar is a short walk from the Alameda de Hércules, with its bars and the rest of the alternative circuit. That makes it easy to have dinner or drinks in the Alameda and walk over. Coming back, TUSSAM's night buses leave from Prado de San Sebastián, every 35 to 40 minutes until 05:00 on Friday and Saturday nights.
