La Piconera Seville: Live Flamenco-Pop and Rumba Nights in the Centre

· Updated:

La Piconera is a live music club in central Seville, Spain, at Calle Julio César 3, that calls itself 'the most flamenco nights in Seville'. Rumba and flamenco-pop bands play on Thursday and Friday nights and on Saturday afternoons and nights, the party goes on until 07:30, and on some nights the door is 25+. It moved here from Calle Salado in Triana in October 2026.

A new home in Julio César

Until the summer of 2026 La Piconera was at Calle Salado 11, in Triana. On 2 October 2026 it announced 'we're moving… but the essence comes with us', and it reopened on Friday 9 October in its 'new home' at Calle Julio César 3, in the centre. A week later it thanked its regulars, the 'Piconer@s', for filling the new place from the first night. If an old guide sends you to Triana, it's out of date.

What the music is like

La Piconera isn't a flamenco tablao with a seated show. It's a bar-club where bands play rumba, flamenco-pop and the Andalusian songs everyone sings, and people dance and sing along. Its weekly programme has a different band each slot: groups like Atuvera Music Band, Tendereke, Agustele, Los Niños del Sur or Mano de Santo have played its Thursday, Friday and Saturday sessions. On special dates it does 'noches de arte' with flamenco singers, like the one it held in February 2026 to celebrate 'its day'.

The week: afternoons and nights

Its October 2026 listings show the format. Thursday 22 and Friday 23 ran from 23:30 to 07:30. Saturday 24 had two sessions, an afternoon one from 18:00 to 23:30 and a night one after. On Sunday 25 it opened a new Sunday-afternoon party called 'Buena Sombra', from 19:00 to 01:00, and Halloween was on Saturday 31. The afternoon sessions are a good option if you want live music without staying up until dawn.

Age, dress code and lists

La Piconera targets an adult crowd. For the night of Friday 23 October 2026, with Los Niños del Sur, the event page said 25+ and 'casual'. There was a free guest list until 01:00, with a warning that it's promotional and doesn't guarantee entry, and a tip to arrive at 23:30. The age can change by session, so check before going, especially if someone in your group is under 25.

Who goes and how to plan it

The crowd is adult (25+ on some nights): groups of friends who know the songs by heart, birthdays and people who come for a particular band. Well-known artists drop by too: in January 2026 the club posted a photo with Juan Magán. La Piconera takes table reservations, which matter on Friday and Saturday nights; if you'd rather not book, the free list until 01:00 is the other way in, as long as you arrive early. It's in the centre, so you can walk from most of the old town, and on weekend nights TUSSAM night buses leave from Prado de San Sebastián until 05:00.
