Alfonso by Casino: The Delicias Terrace in Seville That Opens in Winter

Alfonso by Casino is a terrace at Paseo de las Delicias 13, by María Luisa Park in Seville, Spain, and unlike the other summer terraces it is open now: in its winter season it opens on Friday and Saturday from 8pm, with dinner, live music and DJs, for over-21s (October 2026).

Three seasons in one year

Most of Seville's summer terraces open in May and close in September. Alfonso spread 2026 across three formats. In spring, “Primavera Alfonso 2026” started on 21 March with tardeo from 2pm. In summer, after a pre-opening on Thursday 14 May, it opened on Friday 15 May from 11pm, like a summer club. And from around 9 October it switched to what its Instagram bio calls “temporada de invierno”, the winter season, with a new idea summed up in one line: “Ahora, Alfonso empieza antes”, now Alfonso starts earlier.

What the winter format is like

The winter nights start at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays with dinner, beer and live music, and then a DJ takes over. Its October posts announced bands such as Más o Menos Bien before the DJ sets. The nights we saw on its listings on 21 October, for the weekend of 23 and 24 October: Friday 23 October from 11pm to 4am with Farejos and Mateo Suárez, and Saturday 24 October from 11pm to 3am. On the Friday there was a free guest list with a welcome drink for the first 100 people and free entry until 1:30am. At 21 October nothing was published yet for November, or for Halloween weekend.

Age and dress code

Alfonso is 21+, not 18+, according to its own listing for 23 October 2026, and that matters if you are going with younger friends: the door rule is the venue's, not the law's, and here it is 21. The dress code on that listing was “Casual”, so no need for a jacket, though looking put-together never hurts at the door. The terrace has also been a stop for international students: in summer 2026 it hosted an Erasmus White Party on 9 June.

Is it the old Terraza Casino?

The name leads many people to ask. What we can confirm: Terraza Casino, the club at the Casino de la Exposición on the same avenue, closed in September 2024, and according to Diario de Sevilla (2 September 2026) the space will come back in 2027 as a restaurant with live music. We have no source that says who runs Alfonso or whether it has anything to do with that old terrace, so we do not claim it. If you were looking for Terraza Casino, it is closed; Alfonso is a different venue, at number 13.

Getting there and nearby

Paseo de las Delicias runs along María Luisa Park by the river. In winter Alfonso is the only one of the big summer terraces with a programme, but the riverside bars stay open all year: Terraza Chile, by the old Chile pavilion, opens daily from 1pm, and Muelle New York, at Paseo de las Delicias 3, opens every day from noon. To get home, Metro line 1 runs until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, and the TUSSAM night buses A1 to A8 leave from Prado de San Sebastián from midnight to 5am on those nights.
